Radiant collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics,
no advertising identifier, and no Templeton server that receives your data. This is not a
policy of restraint — the app has no code that could send us anything.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your conversations. Written to the app's own storage and never uploaded.
- The models you download. Stored in the app's cache. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Your settings — theme, text size, which model is current.
- Your API keys, if you add any, in the iOS Keychain. They are never returned
to the app's web layer and are never shown again after you enter them.
When data does leave the device
One case, and only because you set it up: a cloud model from a provider you
configured. Radiant can, optionally, send a conversation to an AI service you hold an
API key for — Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, xAI, Nous Research, DeepSeek, Moonshot (Kimi),
Z.ai (GLM), MiniMax, Groq or Mistral. Before the first message goes to any of them, the app
tells you what follows and asks for your permission; nothing is sent until you allow it.
- What is sent. The messages you type in a chat that uses that model, any
images you attach to those messages, and the model's replies (which the provider generates
and therefore already holds). Radiant sends this so the model can answer you; that is the
only use. Nothing else on the device is sent — not your other chats, contacts, photos you
did not attach, or location.
- Who receives it. That provider, directly, over an encrypted (HTTPS)
connection to its own API, authenticated with your own key. It does not pass through any
server of ours; we never see it and could not.
- How they handle it. Under that provider's own privacy policy and API terms,
which govern what they keep and for how long:
Anthropic,
OpenAI,
OpenRouter,
xAI,
Nous Research,
DeepSeek,
Moonshot (Kimi),
Z.ai,
MiniMax,
Groq,
Mistral.
Every one of them receives the conversation over an encrypted connection and, in its published
terms, limits its use of API content to providing and securing the service. We do not audit
them and cannot enforce their policies for you: their terms, not this page, govern what happens
to a message once it arrives. Read the policy of the provider you intend to use, and if it does
not satisfy you, do not add its key — the on-device models need none.
- Withdrawing permission. Remove the provider's key in Settings → Providers.
Radiant then sends nothing further to that provider, and forgets the permission; you would
be asked again if you added a key later.
A model you have downloaded runs entirely on the phone and works with no network connection
at all. If you never add a key, no conversation ever leaves the device.
Downloading models
Model weights are fetched from Hugging Face,
who will see the request the way any web server sees a download. We do not add an identifier to it.
Children
Radiant is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone,
including children under 13.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete.
Everything the app stores is on your device and is removed when you delete the app. Individual
conversations can be deleted from the Home screen, and downloaded models from Settings → Models.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
