01The Proposition
A building that keeps its voice down.
The Cadence Quarter spent forty years as a working dock. What replaced it mostly shouted. The Meridian does the opposite: a slender, set-back form in bush-hammered concrete and bronze-anodised aluminium, sized so that the afternoon light still reaches Verity Street.
Inés Rasmussen's practice worked to a single rule — nothing decorative that isn't structural. The result is a tower whose character comes entirely from proportion, depth of reveal, and the way its glass takes the estuary weather. Interiors by Studio Fenwick. Landscape by Oren Bly.

02The Building
Assembled in eighteen months. Drawn over four years.
Post-tensioned slabs on a central core. Setbacks at levels five, thirteen and nineteen give every band of the tower its own terrace line.
03The Setting
The last plot with a view of open water.
Nine minutes on foot to Halloway Bridge. Four to the Cadence line. The estuary path begins at the door and does not stop for eleven kilometres.

Six floors that belong to everyone.
Amenity is distributed rather than stacked — a garden at twelve, a library at three, water at two. Residents pass through the building's shared rooms on the way to their own, which is the point.
