LeafMemo — Mac tester build 398

REQUIREMENTS
Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer), running macOS 14 or later.
This build does not support Intel Macs. No LeafMemo account is required.

INSTALL
1. Download and open LeafMemo-398.dmg.
2. Drag LeafMemo into Applications.
3. Open LeafMemo from Applications. Accept the normal macOS downloaded-app confirmation if shown.

WHAT IS NEW
- Trash now includes a counted Empty Trash action with a separate destructive confirmation.
- Emptying Trash records durable deletion tombstones so stale local or received revisions cannot recreate the removed notes.
- Trash and Restore use the newest saved metadata and preserve edits that arrive while the action is being completed.

UPDATING
Builds 388 through 397 can install build 398 with LeafMemo > Check for Updates…. Build 387 does not contain the updater, so install build 398 manually once using the steps above.

THINGS TO TEST
- Create a disposable note, move it to Trash, choose Empty Trash, and confirm that the dialog shows the correct note count.
- Cancel the confirmation and verify that every note remains in Trash.
- Confirm Empty Trash only for disposable test notes, then quit and reopen LeafMemo and verify they do not return.
- Edit a disposable note and immediately move it to Trash or restore it; verify the body remains intact.

ALPHA LIMITS
Keep the originals of important notes. This is a testing release, not the sole place to store your archive. Empty Trash permanently removes the captured notes from this LeafMemo library, but it does not erase exported copies, backups, or encrypted history already retained by another system. The app works locally without sync. This package is the Mac app; it does not include an iPhone/iPad release or the Chrome extension.
